Saving a Reel or video post
- Open the Reel or video in Instagram.
- Tap the paper-plane icon or the ⋯ menu and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link into the field at the top and press Download.
- Choose a file from the list and save it.
Good to know
Reels use /reel/ links, regular posts use /p/ and older IGTV videos use /tv/. All three are accepted when the content is public.
If the account is private or the post has been taken down, there is nothing to fetch and you will see an error. When a link fails, confirm that the account is public and the post still exists.
The tool is meant for your own Reels, for backups, and for content you have the creator’s okay to keep. Please credit people whose work you share.
