Saving a TikTok video, step by step

  1. In TikTok, open the clip and tap the Share arrow.
  2. Choose Copy link. In a desktop browser, copy the URL from the address bar.
  3. Paste it into the field at the top and press Download.
  4. Select one of the listed files, such as a video quality or an audio track, and save it.

What to expect

After you paste a link, the tool asks a processing service which files exist for that clip. The answer varies by video: some show several choices, others only one. A version without the TikTok logo is listed only when it is actually available.

Links from the Share sheet and links copied from a browser both work. Clips from private accounts, deleted clips and those with downloads switched off return an error instead of a file.

People commonly use this to keep their own posts, to archive clips before editing, or to save something offline with the creator’s okay.

Please read the Terms & DMCA and Privacy Policy before using the tool.

Questions

TikTok questions answered

Will the TikTok logo be removed?
Only if a clean version is offered for that video. It shows up in the list when it exists; otherwise the standard file is the only option.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes, in any mobile browser. Saved files normally appear in Downloads or in your Files app.
Is there an audio-only option?
Sometimes. If TikTok provides audio for the clip, it is listed next to the video files.
The link does not work. What now?
Check that the video is public and still online, then copy the link again from Share.
Can I reuse someone else’s TikTok?
Only with permission. Creators own their videos, and TikTok’s rules and copyright law apply.
